While walking down from a late afternoon photo shoot on Paradise Ridge, I happened onto a vantage point from which the setting sun was visible through the trees. I stopped to take a look and there sat a this meadowlark. It seemed to be appreciating the moment and wasn’t in any hurry, so I set up and took a shot.
